Happy = Healthy
You know, It amazes me that some people still think all of this joy stuff is a bunch of baloney…..
Science continues to prove that happy = good.
Check this out:
Laughter is nearly as powerful as exercise at boosting your bod. A Loma Linda University study found that it raised immunoglobulins – say that fast three times – by 14 percent. That means it’s been proven that laughter increases your antibodies by about 14%. I guess that means laughter is like having health insurance – only cheaper.

Goody Two-Shoes
I have heard so many wonderful stories of people helping others. Friends caring for loved ones in hospice; people who don't have much but give to those who have even less; old folks helping strangers in need. It seems these people have a knack for walking in someone else's shoes and then doing good things to ease their burden.
These generous acts remind me of a saying my mom had for these good people who chose to be selfless in service:
“There’s a special place in heaven for you.”
And if heaven ain’t your thang, then insert mecca-like place of choice.
Joy It On, Baby.

Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
For those of you who follow my work, you know I love to have people share their "best things." It's a great way to focus on the good and remember what's right in your day.
Well, my best thing is that today I went to the gym on only 3.5 hours of sleep.
I am hugely grateful that I can be a high-functioning, parallel-universe-traveling weirdo and still joyride the whole time.
:o)
That Chaps My Butt
Okay, I cannot confirm if this was the winning entry for the MSN writing contest for stories about Motherhood (as alleged) or whether it was submitted by a viewer to Ellen DeGeneres for her to read on air. Either way, it's damn funny and guaranteed to give you a smile.
"Why my lips stayed chapped on Mother's Day"
So, we had this great cat named Jack and the kids would carry him around and nothing ever bothered him. He used to hang out and nap all day long on this mat in our bathroom.
